1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the websites, web applications, and services provided by SmartHockey Products (collectively, the "Service"), including but not limited to the SmartHockey Team Tracker Pro application accessible at smarthockeyproducts.com, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately. SmartHockey Products reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Description of Service

SmartHockey Products provides web-based ice hockey statistics tracking and game analysis tools. The primary product, the SmartHockey Team Tracker Pro, is a Progressive Web Application (PWA) that allows ice hockey coaches, teams, and analysts to:

• Record real-time game statistics including goals, shots, assists, penalties, and more
• Track advanced metrics such as Plus/Minus, Corsi, and Fenwick ratings
• Monitor ice time and deployment patterns for individual players and lines
• Manage team rosters across multiple seasons and tournaments
• Review and export game summary reports

The Service may also include companion tools, informational content, and supplementary features as described on the SmartHockey Products website. Some features of the Service may require a paid subscription or one-time purchase (e.g., the Pro version available via Google Play). Free features are clearly distinguished from premium features within the applications.

3. Eligibility and User Accounts

The Service is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this minimum age requirement. Users under the age of 18 should obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian before using the Service.

The SmartHockey Team Tracker Pro does not require the creation of a user account for core functionality. All statistics and roster data are stored locally in your browser's storage (IndexedDB / LocalStorage). You are solely responsible for maintaining and backing up your locally stored data.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on the SmartHockey Products website and within our applications — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software code, and the overall design — is the intellectual property of SmartHockey Products and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for personal or internal organisational purposes (e.g., tracking statistics for your own hockey team or club). You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Service for commercial purposes without prior written consent
• Modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from our software
• Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Use our branding or trademarks without explicit written permission

5. User Conduct

By using the Service, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its related systems
• Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code into the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to extract data from our Service
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity

6. In-App Purchases and Payments

Certain features of the SmartHockey Team Tracker Pro are available as paid upgrades through Google Play (Android). All in-app purchases are processed by Google Play Billing and are subject to Google Play's Terms of Service. SmartHockey Products does not directly process payment card information.

All purchases are final. Refund requests for in-app purchases must be submitted through Google Play's standard refund process. SmartHockey Products has no control over and accepts no liability for Google Play's refund decisions.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. SmartHockey Products makes no warranty that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components
• The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
• The quality of any information or content obtained through the Service will meet your expectations

Statistical data entered into and calculated by the SmartHockey Team Tracker Pro is provided for informational and coaching purposes only. SmartHockey Products makes no guarantee as to the accuracy of any automatically calculated metrics.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SmartHockey Products shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service — even if SmartHockey Products has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In particular, SmartHockey Products accepts no liability for the loss of locally stored game data resulting from browser cache clearing, device changes, software updates, or other events outside our control. Users are encouraged to use the built-in data export functions regularly to back up their statistics.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, applications, or services (e.g., Google Play, Instagram). These links are provided for convenience only. SmartHockey Products has no control over the content or practices of third-party sites and accepts no responsibility for them. Your interactions with third-party services are governed by those services' own terms and privacy policies.

The Service uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Switzerland.
