2. Data We Collect and Why
2.1 Application Data (Game Statistics)
The SmartHockey Team Tracker Pro stores all data you enter — including team names, player rosters, game statistics, and settings — exclusively in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB and/or LocalStorage). This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to SmartHockey Products servers or any third party. We have no access to your coaching data whatsoever.
As a consequence, you are fully responsible for the safekeeping of your data. We strongly recommend using the app's built-in export functions to regularly back up your statistics to your own device.
2.2 Website Visits – Server Log Files
When you visit our website, your browser automatically transmits certain information to our web host (GitHub Pages). This may include:
- Your IP address (anonymised by GitHub's infrastructure)
- Date and time of the request
- URL of the page requested
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referring URL
This data is processed by GitHub Pages to deliver the website content to you and to ensure the technical stability and security of the hosting infrastructure. We do not have direct access to raw server logs. GitHub's privacy practices are described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.

All payment data is processed by Google according to their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Our website uses the following types of cookies:
- Functional cookies: Used by the SmartHockey web application to remember your language preference (stored in LocalStorage). These are strictly necessary for the application to function correctly.
